Disclaimers: all opinions are my own, sponsors are acknowledged. Links in the description are typically affiliate links that let you help support the channel at no extra cost.
Amazon Auto Links: No products found.
Thanks for this. I’ve made a little start on my budding channel and sold about 3 items so far, but hopefully that’ll grow over time. They say the first step is the most important.
This was super helpful!! I’m looking forward to that next Amazon video!!
I’ve been Recently viewing your vids and I know this is off the topic of this video but if you ever get the chance I’d appreciate if you viewed my channel almost like A Resume and just let me know your thoughts on Improvement… You really are a knowledgeable person and I’d really value your input. Thank You if you see this… And Be Eazy!
Straight to the point, Realistic & Honest, this helped me alot! Great Stuff Roberto!
Great video! How did you merge your Amazon Affiliate links? US/Canada for example? That’s one thing I hate about affiliate links on YouTube, they are usually not customized to match user’s country.
More support man.. Love watching your vids. Specifically on how to get views and subs. Currently trying it and Ineed support.
I have used Amazon Affiliate Program off and on for years. Thank you for this advice and content creation information.
Please continue with this series! I use the Amazon program but your video today inspired me with new ideas. I am a long time viewer and I appreciate all the great content you upload.
This is great into. As a former amazon employee of four years I never knew or quiet understood how this was done… thank you!!!!
Perfect timing! I just got my affiliate set up!
Great video as always. Very helpful and informational.
Excellent video, Roberto. You’re awesome.
Great post, as usual. Wondering how you handle the tax situation from affiliate sales. Do you pay estimated tax? I know that these independent contractor type businesses can bite you in the a** at tax time if you don’t prepare.
Just came over from Just came over from The Organized Soprano. Subscribed!
If you don’t find a way to make money in your sleep, you’ll work until you die. That is why despite of having a full income, I am also looking for other streams of income which is ideally passive to help fund our second location! Thanks for all the tips! You guys might have seen me on other videos but anytime I write a comment, I always tell my story with it so people know why I am saying what I am saying 🙂 – also to keep inspiring other people because for me, reading other people’s success journey is so motivating. 🙂 We own a cookie shop business in our college town. When we first started it, we were living in our car with very little direction, just a huge passion to be successful. We just graduated college as well. We started a cookie shop out of a local bagel shop in their off hours at night. We were living in our car in the parking lot of the shop at the time with my boyfriend, Bran. It was a crazy experience but it worked! We became a success! And how we have our first storefront location (a second launching soon!) We started it to fund a year long backpacking trip around the world and to be successful while living the life of our dreams.
Please can you still use amazon affiliate if your are a small YouTubers like myself? When can you start with amazon affiliate?
Amazon is a great program, but I only make about $20 every once in awhile. How can I make it more of a consistent income source? Also, you mentioned that you should research the commission levels for certain items (ie headphones having a higher commission than PC parts). How can you see those levels?
Somewhat unrelated to the subject. BUT with all of this Passive Income how do you track the income for tax purposes? Do you suggest creative’s specialize in CPA’s who are familiar with content creators business? This has really been on my mind lately
Roberto I truly appreciate you! My question is: A friend of mine came from my blog to Amazon to buy items and she said she saw my store ID but I never saw the commission. What do you think the explanation is? Thank you in advance for your response!
Awesome video Roberto! I’ve tried the amazon associates program and tried driving sales through my youtube videos (reviews, unboxings, ect) but have latter been kicked out because I wasn’t able to make any sales within the required period. The tip I would give small creators is to not try affiliate marketing until you have a hundred or maybe a thousand subscribers, focus on growing your audience and then try affiliate marketing, I hope this isn’t discouraging to anyone
Great video ! Affiliate marketing is so good, I talk about this all the time on my channel !
I was an Amazon Affiliate and a friend bought a Panasonic G80/G85 through my link. The commission was £20 but my payment limit was £25, so they did not pay out in over a year. Then they decided I’d not had enough activity and threw me off the program!! Not too impressed, where did my £20 go?
I have a few questions:
1) Would you recommend going through older videos and updating descriptions for affiliate links? (I have included things like equipment and software used on most of my videos, but i haven’t included any links, much less affiliate links.)
2) What are your thoughts about sites like kit that allow someone to only have one link rather than multiple individual affiliate links? I see that you just use all the individual links?
3) What would you say are the absolute requirements in properly disclosing affiliate links? In the description, you have a disclaimer at the end and elsewhere, and in the video you also mention it audibly. Is this just covering all your bases, or is it required to have both audio and text-based disclosure?)
I am an Amazon Affiliate And I really appreciate you up-to-date info.! Especially the Influencer Info.!!! 🙂
Hey Roberto ! Great video ! I’m an amazon affiliate honestly it hasn’t been as successful YET I link a affiliate link in all my videos . I believe eventually ill be able to make an REAL income from it ifI don’t give up.I had a question , have you ever tried merch by amazon if so have you seen success in that ? Any tips ?
Always dropping that knowledge!
Great video as always… just started watching within the last month but I’ve learned so much from you. Thank you!
Thanks for the tips! I use amazon just about every week and i’m looking to implement this soon.
Roberto, question for you. I live in New Orleans where Amazon and politicians Did Not Shake Hands and agree to allow affiliate marketing to exist here. I believe it did it one time but now it does not. This really stinks because people taking away opportunities like this to earn a few dollars it’s truly depressing. This is why I hate politics that get in the way of prosperity. If you were me how would you go about trying to solve this problem?
Should the affiliate link be in the top three lines or further below the description?
I started a AAM, but I didn’t have enough videos at the time so I didn’t meet the 30 days sales requirement. I’m going to wait till I have at least 100 videos before I try it again 😀
I look forward to the Amazon affiliates serie Roberto. I only have 400 subscribers but I registered to the Amazon affiliates program. I put a couple of affiliate links to simple gear I use for videos in every video of mine, but of course no one is clicking on them cause I have yet to say something about it. I’d like to know 1) how you recommend to approach your own audience to introduce them to your links, without looking like a sell out (which is a very delicate topic in Europe cause it’s very easy to be pointed out as a sell out) when you still have a very tiny audience; 2) how to actually use it (you already said you’re going to do a tutorial) and how it concretely works; 3) how to manage international Amazon sites. I first registered to Amzon.com which is American – then I realised that my friends in Italy can’t buy from my affiliate links cause they would have to pay the shipping from America. So I looked for Amazon.it affiliate program and registered to it. But how do I manage this situation now? And what about my German subscribers? What about my British ones? What about my Norwegian ones? I don’t know if you’re able to give me an answer to that, if you did it’d be awesome. Thank you Roberto.
Did you change mic in this video? Not that I don’t like it at all, but I personally prefer the usual one. FIY, I hope it’s useful.
I tried it with my 15.3k following on IG and I either set up the link wrong or couldn’t get anybody to click and buy. Either way I could tell if I was getting clicks through Amazon’s site
Don’t you also need a amazon sales funnel to help gain traffic amd more people to go the links?
You’re just going to sit there and discuss scummy capatalism supporting Amazon as they destroy all of American retail businesses.? Really man I thiught you were better than this.
Very very nice video my mentor. Thanks so much
What about music? How does a review channel take most advantage of this when most music is streamed nowdays..
@Roberto Blake Roberto, so in theory I could go and signup for an Amazon Canada affiliate account then use “One Link” to link the Canadian and American accounts together utilizing just one link for everything?
Do you have to have a website to be in the program?
Roberto, Thanks for this video. I just realized that I could actually do a video where we compare head phones. One that I instead of Bianca can do and still relate to mental health. I hadn’t planned to get behind the camera, but if it helps someone then it is worth it.
Hi Roberto. I feel like I am wasting my time not doing affiliate marketing cause 90% of my shopping comes from Amazon. I have a question. You said you need amount of followers on social media to get accepted. What about website? Do I need traffic on my website to get accepted and how big?
